same here. I didn’t even know what I actually do. as like you I was told that I do webdesign but I am really not into making photoshop template. All I do is html/css/javascrip/testing and lot other related stuff.
Now I know what I do and I can tell at least. My goal is now clear. thanx for this really simple and intelligent article

A good explanation, think this will be the defacto link when people ask me what I do! Up until now, it’s been ‘I design websites’ or ‘I make/drink tea in front of a screen’, simply because ‘frontend web developer’ tends to imply to those not familiar with web stuff that I do stuff with databases…and explaining ‘frontend’ is tedious!
